This textbook is drawn up on the basis of the Federal State Educational Standard of Higher Education (Moscow, 2020) for foreign students of higher educational establishments on a medical specialty. The publication is a product of material selection by the Department staff necessary to teach Biol ogy to students of foreign faculty, laying the fundamentals of natural science disciplines studied in medical institutions. To solidify knowledge gained the questions for students self-study are off ered as well as progress of practical work. This well-illustrated textbook contains tables for students' answers and boxes for drawing pathogens, problem tasks and tests on all topics for self-control. The structure of the textbook corresponds to the module system of teaching. This book helps students to learn the material, prepare for the Biology exams and to master the competencies necessary for professional physician's activity. The textbook is intended for students of medical universities, and will also be useful for doctors, medical biologists and teachers who teach in English as an additional and general educational tool.
